Generations of Design
Timeless Design, Lasting Legacy
Jean-Yves Lacroix
A Legacy of Design Across Continents
Founded by Jean-Yves Lacroix, Lacroix Design merges Old-World artistry with the pioneering spirit of the American West. Educated in Geneva, Switzerland, and based in Park City, Utah, Jean-Yves creates custom mountain homes that honor both craft and context.
His father, Daniel Lacroix, co-founded Skis Lacroix and built custom chalets in the foothills of the French Alps, pioneering designs that balanced performance with beauty.
From Craftsmanship to Architecture
Jean-Yves earned his professional degree in Carpentry and Cabinetmaking at the École des Arts et Métiers in Geneva before completing his diploma in Architecture from the École d’Ingénieurs in 1986.
While architectural licensure requirements vary by state, Jean-Yves’ Swiss education and his professional exemption under Utah’s Architects Licensing Act (Title 58, Chapter 3a) allow him to continue his decades-long architectural design practice with the same precision, artistry, and ecological awareness that define his work.
Design Philosophy
Every project begins with the land. Jean-Yves studies the light, wind, and slope to reveal a home’s natural form—an approach that blends European discipline with Western openness. The result is architecture that feels effortless, timeless, and deeply personal.
Why Homeowners Choose Lacroix Design
Homeowners seek Jean-Yves for his ability to translate vision into lasting form. His homes balance craftsmanship and comfort, honoring the past while anticipating the future. Each project is a study in proportion, material honesty, and emotional warmth—a space built to live beautifully.
Ines Lacroix
Ines Lacroix brings a contemporary eye and passion for sustainable materials to the family’s creative legacy, carrying forward the spirit of innovation that defines Lacroix Design.
Educated in both Europe and the American West, she graduated from a classical school in France with a Literature Baccalaureate summa cum laude before moving to Utah to study architecture, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2023 and planning to return for her master’s and architectural licensure. Now a full-time mother of four, Ines is taking a pause from her studies to focus on her family, a chapter that enriches her creativity and informs her understanding of meaningful, livable spaces. Her love of travel, time spent outdoors, and everyday life with her children continually inspire her vision for spaces that feel grounded, beautiful, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.
